Worcester County Orthopedics knows Central Massachusetts better than any other orthopedic group, caring for the Worcester community’s orthopedic needs for over 50 years.
Emeritus partner Dr. Phil Lahey Jr., joined his father’s orthopedic practice in 1979—and practiced sports medicine in Worcester until 2021. Dr. Lahey followed in his father’s footsteps to Holy Cross first as an undergraduate and later caring for Holy Cross athletes. Dr. Lahey Jr. was the official Crusaders’ team physician for over 40 years.
In 2007, Dr. Christopher Vinton, also a Holy Cross alum and former Holy Cross football player, joined the practice. When Dr. Phil Lahey IV returned to Worcester in 2013, after completing his Sports Medicine Fellowship at Brown University, he too followed his father into practice creating the only third-generation orthopedic practice in Central Massachusetts. Dr. Vinton and Dr. Lahey continue the long-standing Worcester County Orthopedics’ tradition of serving as team physicians for Holy Cross Athletics. In 2024, Dr. Boisvert, a Shrewsbury native with deep roots running throughout Worcester County, joined the practice.
As a team, Dr. Boisvert, Dr. Lahey and Dr. Vinton take great pride in the legacy of providing the Worcester community with the best orthopedic care possible.
